Queen of Hearts Makeup Tutorial

Queen of Hearts | Halloween Makeup Tutorial | Time out with Ashna

"OFF with their HEADS!!!" Addy was brave enough to take on this face paint and make-up look. I'm a huge fan of Alice in Wonderland and I absolutely loved how the Queen of Hearts make up was in The latest film. My oldest daughter is a lot like her mama and is comfortable being weird and filmed at the same time. I hope you enjoy the bloopers at the end. Here are the list of products used.

Halloween Face Paint Time - Simba

"AAAAAAAAHHHHHH Si Hanyaaaaaaaa" I don't think I've ever said that line right from "The Lion King".  Ha ha.

My daughter LOVES "The Lion King" and requested to be Simba for this tutorial.

 How could I refuse?

In this tutorial I used paint and makeup brushes, Snazaroo face paint, Wolf FX Face Paint, and the Coastal Scents Eye shadow palette. Links below.

Changing it up a bit - Beachbody Style

So, I have been busy... working on myself. In this process I've been getting my life back in order starting with my health. I'm sharing two videos that show the process and my journey. Before I do that, I'm planning on sharing my story. Here is goes:

This is a very long and vulnerable post.
It has been on my mind a lot. As much as my head told me not to share this, my heart won. This is my Transformation Story. Hopefully, for those that can relate, it can inspire you. That is my purpose.
Throughout my life, I grew up never being fit. I wasn't overweight by any means. The extent of my diet and workout was 10 fat grams a day and an 80's Jane Fonda workout video. (Ha ha) I became a “Fitness Fanatic” when I was in college. I started with Body for Life. I joined a gym and changed my body to what I thought I could NEVER have.
After marriage and kids and weight gain, I tried to keep the gym thing going. I'm not a social gym-goer. I always did my own thing and didn't talk much to others. It was always a chore and I never bounced back to my old self, but I did it anyway. I also didn’t like that in order to get a workout in, I had to risk my children getting sick in childcare. Another CON was my time! I drove to and from the gym, worked out, and it would take about 2 hours out of my day. "Ain't nobody got time for dat!” I finally realized that it simply wasn’t working for me. Everyone has to find what fitness language they speak. The gym was not mine.
Then I discovered Beachbody. I reconnected with an old friend who invited me to my first challenge group. I was vaguely familiar with Beachbody. I had seen the infomercials so I had heard of P90X and Insanity. Those seemed a little too intense for my mom-lifestyle and I just wasn’t ready to commit to 45 minutes -1 hour of intense exercising with 3 children at home. However, I could talk myself into 25 minutes. So, I chose to complete a 10 week program called T25 and started drinking Shakeology once a day. I was motivated and posted all the time. I felt nerdy doing it at first, and then I found the purpose of it. It's to uplift, inspire, and challenge each other. It was awesome, it was motivating, it was hard, and I completed it.

I couldn't believe that I actually reached my goal of fitting into my "before baby" jeans in a little as 10 weeks. I was very proud.
After I reached my goal, I thought, "I got this! I don't need the group anymore." So, I left my challenge group and stopped drinking Shakeology. Then life happened. I moved twice, I ate junk all of the time, my husband traveled a lot, I joined the Y, quit the Y, trained for a marathon, ran the marathon, vacationed, and then ended up just occasionally exercising. Slowly but surely, my habits changed. I lost my support system, lost my confidence, and lost myself.
In those two years, I gained ALL of my weight back (and then some). I was at my full-term pregnancy weight and I wasn’t even pregnant!!! I was too embarrassed to visit friends and family. I was ashamed. I hated taking pictures with my sweet husband and my kids and I was outgrowing my clothes. (in a bad way)
Enough is enough! I want my life and confidence back. I want to be strong again. I don’t want to depend on naps anymore. I want to have another child, but I’m worried about the risks to me and the baby in my current health. I am "sick and tired of being sick and tired." I know that my fitness language isn’t the gym. My fitness language is Beachbody. Nothing compares.
So , I joined another challenge group and I am now a Beachbody Coach! 😉 I know that this decision is right. It will keep me in line, help me improve my new lifestyle, MAINTAIN what I lose, And INSPIRE others around me. (Especially my children)
I'm now gaining my life back one day at a time. I started a new 30 min. program (21 day FIX), I'm drinking Shakeology again, and I have my fitness family back. In just two weeks, I’ve already lost 6.5 pounds and I’m one week away from a habit that will alter the course of my life. It WORKS and I have friends from all over the nation who support and encourage me every single day. That’s a group I want to be a part of.
I never wanted to be a coach. Especially not the kind that pressures anyone to do anything. I still don’t want to be that kind of coach. The reason I am one is because I completely believe in the products they offer and what it is all about. The reason I’m a coach is because I want to stay the course. I really want to help people along the way, to inspire others, and be inspired. Now, instead of a couch, I'm a coach. (ha ha.) That is a much better option!
If you find that you have had the same struggles and thoughts as me or need a partner in crime, PLEASE reach out to me! I’ve learned quite a few things along the way about health and fitness and I can and will help you reach your goals. I’m here for you!
